Update Feb. 14: The final film in the series is A PLACE AT THE TABLE, screening February 20, 7 p.m. at the ArcLight Beach Cities. This is a documentary on hunger in America, from the producers of Food, Inc. and An Inconvenient Truth. Guest Speaker: Alden Stoner, Participant Media’s Vice President of Social Actions Campaigns. Tickets are available at the door for seating towards the front ($20 at the door).

Update Feb. 7: The third film in the series is BLESS ME, ULTIMA, directed by Carl Franklin (Devil in a Blue Dress), screening Wed. Feb. 13, 7 p.m. at the ArcLight Beach Cities. Guest speakers will include Oscar-winning producer Mark Johnson (Rain Man, Good Morning Vietnam, Bugsy). Tickets are available at the door for seating towards the front ($20 at the door).

Update Feb. 4: The second film in the Reel Talk series is SEARCHING FOR SUGAR MAN, screening Wed. Feb. 6, 7 p.m. at the ArcLight Beach Cities. The director of the film, Malik Bendjelloul, will be there for the after-film discussion. Tickets are available at the door for seating towards the front ($20 at the door).

Reel Talk with Stephen Farber is screening 4 consecutive Wednesdays starting January 30, 7 p.m. at the ArcLight Beach Cities. The first film in the series on Jan. 30 is THE GATEKEEPERS. The series is sold out, but tickets are available for individual films at the door (for $20 and limited to seats in the front rows).
